Grilled Fish
Ingredients
- Fish- Sherri, 1 Kg (You can take any fish of your liking)
- Red chilli pwd- 2 tsp
- Lemon juice/ Vinegar- 1 tbsp
- Salt- to taste
- Rice pwd (Optional, if you want the skin crisp)- 1 tbsp
Marinade
- Onion- 1 small, chopped
- Tomato- 1, medium, chopped
- Coriander leaves- 1/2 bunch, chopped roughly
- Garlic cloves- 4-5
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Green Chilies- 7-8 (according to desired spiciness)
- Salt- to taste
- Vinegar- 2 tsp
- Oil- 2 tbsp
Method-
Step 1. Wash fish and make slits (not too deep) on both sides of fish. Rub slits with paste of salt, red chilli pwd, lemon juice/vinegar and rice pwd if using it (you can add some water if it seems too dry)
Step 2. Cut fish from the back to open it up completely.
Step 3. Grind together all marinade ingredients.
Step 4. If you like the grilled fish to be dry after grilling then fry the ground paste till semi dry. If you like fish to be moist after grilling then no need to fry. I have made the marinade semi dry.
Step 5. Spread the marinade over the open fish and let marinate for half and hr.
Step 6. Grill on grilling tray in preheated oven for 20 mins.
Step 7. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
